Anniversary gift: wrote my first article with MR's consent!

Yesterday was my two-month anniversary as RosenbaumMedia's News Reporter and I got an awesome gift to celebrate it. Since April 4th I've been handling rather sensitive material and this one was as much a test as a pleasure to write about. Still, on this occasion, I got some fantastic help... and a very special contributor.

I'm beyond ecstatic. After some heavy correspondence between myself, RosenbaumMedia's webmaster- hamlat- and several very nice go-betweens we managed to get Michael's OK to repost some pics from among a very private set and to write an article to go with them.

Thank you for risking life, limb, and the toxins from burning plastic to retrieve the microfilm. Honestly, though, I'd go with text message and file transfer next time. Though the manila folder might have been worth it. I haven't seen one of those things in years.

I don't trust modern technology as much as doing things the old-fashioned way. I don't know about the manila folder, the manila envelope I got I will keep as a memento- it'd be one of the items I'd consider putting in a time capsule.
